i'm a writer who dabbles in art/craft production and have found the advice of steven king to be very helpful: take the most important thing that needs to be done and do it first, at the start of your day. take as long as it needs to take to finish it. then, then rest of the day is up for whatever. (i paraphrase here.) what's great about this is that the start of a day can be whenever you want. and what you need to get done can be whatever as well. so...for me...my day starts at either 10am or 2pm depending on my mood and i need to write either 10 pages on that novel or five blog posts for the week or...well you get the picture.

as a side note, laura is such a treasure to read. her blog is delightful.
cheers!

Wow---I need that! It's not so much that I keep working on projects forever, but I procrastinate because I don't have an entire day. But I really like the idea of saying, 12 pair of earrings, 3 necklace and earring sets, etc! Great Idea!

That's a great piece of advice, thank you for sharing.
I am very much an 'owl' and prefer to work at night, when it's completely quiet. That, however, makes for a very long next day, lol!

The answer to this question is certainly like the hunt for the Holy Grail, isn't it?

I am still searching. :)
